Miss O loves the Green Bay Packers!

Miss O got some musical gifts for her 6 month birthday from Titi Lali! Gracias titi!!

all the toys she has and she wants the little bag from her diaper bag.

shopping with Titi Hilary. She carried that purse along.

I <3 my aunt(s)!!

playing is so much fun!

staring at her daddy... she LOVES to just stare at him.

napping in her swing.

in position to take off like a rocket

see her little knee has some wear and tear on them already. she plays hard.

crawling: check.  now on to walking?! she is trying to get on her feet here.

little love bug 6 1/2 months old... hard to believe.

Just wanted to share some photos from the past few days we have taken.  Of course, there is a constant flow of picture taking in her face everyday.  xo

weekend fun!

Miss O is getting around anyway she can.  It is hard to believe that just six short months ago she would do her tummy time and really not move at all.  Now she is all over the place... she hates to sit still- even in a shopping cart or her car seat.  She growing up so fast! xo

Busy few days

We have had an exciting and very busy past few days.  Miss O & I went to the mountains to visit one set of grandparents, came home for one day and then headed up to Northern Virginia to visit another set of grandparents for 6 days. Of course during that time I had my camera but did not have any battery life so I have no pictures to show for it.  Other people took pictures but I did not.  Miss O has been excited to be home with her daddy and show him all the new things she learned over the last week.  Rolling over and over and over... she just rolls and rolls. It is crazy how different she is after just one week away from home.  I don't have many pictures to show but I do have some I've taken from before and after our trips. xo

How is it possible our baby is 5 months old?!

Reunited after almost a week... so happy to see her daddy!

Enough of the sitting

This little girl is going to take off running... if she could.  Right now her head is too big for her body and she is still learning to work with that (the circumference of her head was in the 70th percentile at her 4 month check up).  She is going through a little phase of not wanting to be put down or not wanting to be in the seated position (like in her bumbo chair).   If she is in a seated position she wants to just put her feet down and stand, with the assistance of a big person to hold her hands.  She has changed so much in 4 sweet months.  I will also mention that we have started putting her on the potty before bath time.  When we get her ready for her bath every night I noticed a pattern of her peeing either on the Mr or peeing in the bath.  So I decided to hold her over the big girl potty and see if she peed... and she has... 4 different times.   I'm not trying to get her potty trained unrealistically but I do want to encourage her to use the potty and get her comfortable with it.  Anyway... Miss O is fabulous as always.  Here are a few pictures from the past week... the many faces and expressions of Miss O continued.  xo

some tummy time

lifting her big head is exhausting

probably looking at her daddy

a side view with her feet. probably my favorite thing to see.

learning about body parts from her puppy & frog friends. Ipads are genious & fabulous!!

some exercise time with our kitty sophie jr watching on

just a little too short to reach the ground so she jumps on a pillow

hair coming in nice and thick!!

latest trend: does not want to sit. get her out of this chair!

she is trying hard to get out of this chair. put her feet down and straighten her back

hanging in her high chair- strapped in so she can't go anywhere.

More tummy time

I have to say that our tummy time pictures are my new favorites.  It is possible that I love them because it's new that she can lift her head and look around.  I love watching her look around. When we went to visit my Wuelita & Wuelito (my maternal grandparents), my Wuelita said that Miss O was nosey... and I believe it.  She gets so involved in what is going on around her. She even fights sleep so she can be involved in whatever is going on.  I just love watching the progression of her tummy time.  I am not taking these days and moments for granted.  I just love this baby!!! :)

Tummy time is fun time!

Miss O is not a huge fan of tummy time.  I am trying to make her feel good about it- actually trying to get in the habit of making negative things into positives.  I know this will prove beneficial when she gets older and has to do things like homework or write papers and we have to encourage her. :) But she is getting very good at lifting her head and her legs because you can tell she just wants to roll over on her back.  When she is on her back she tries SO hard to lift up her head and sit up on her own. I haven't been able to capture it on video but it is quite fun to watch.  She makes a face of determination (very similar to her poo poo face), clenches her arms at her side and lifts as hard as she can... which is not very far right now.  She is also doing it in her carseat... even though she is buckled in she tries hard to lift up. I have a feeling that when she starts crawling and walking she will take off... literally. She just seems like she is trying to get somewhere constantly.  I am so thankful & blessed that I have the chance to stay home with her, for now, and watch her change, grow & learn! I am definitely enjoying it while I can!
just some tummy time

she would rather be on her back.

Big lift!

More tummy time.

How it normally ends up...

Happy on her back, playing with her animal friends.
