2 Month check up

Yesterday (March 27th) was Miss O's 2 month check up appointment- also known as first round of vaccinations day! Miss O does really well at the doctor's office.  She never cries and she just hangs out on the table waiting for the doctor to come check her out.  We were having a great time talking and playing until nurse Joan came in.  She ruined all the fun!  Olivia got two shots in her right leg and one shot in her left leg. Poor baby. And to make things worse, I had to hold her arms down while she was screaming in pain. Not my favorite moment.  I am not the best at looking at needles break the skin- so I just focused on her poor little face and the tears streaming out of her little eyes.  She was inconsolable until we got back in the car and she fell asleep about 20 minutes later.  Her next appointment is the day after my birthday... more shots. Oh joy!

Three shots later... a very sad baby.

Visit from GG

Olivia had some visitors today- her GG (Great Grandmother) & Bo.  Although we had a rough morning we did manage to get some pictures with GG! The rough morning was due to constipation... our first time dealing with all of that! We can't wait to go visit GG at the beach when it gets warmer outside! We have our bathing suits and shades ready!!

The Great Debate!

I know it's difficult to REALLY tell who a baby looks like when they are young (especially first born) but it's always fun to try and compare with your old baby pictures.  Since Miss O was born people have told us she looks like me and people have said she looks like Jason.  Some people said she's me from her nose up and Jason from her lips down..? I don't know. I think there are definitely times where she takes after me in the face and definitely times where she takes after Jason.  Just to show you.. I have a baby picture of Jason and a baby picture of me.  I think everyday is different with this girl.  It will really be fun to see her as she changes over time.  It also makes me wonder about our next baby and who he/she will take after. (This doesn't mean it's happening right way... it just gets me thinking about it!)

5 Weeks of Fun

Yesterday my sweet girl turned 5 weeks old. Still hard to believe how fast time flies with her.  She is getting bigger every day.  She is learning and doing new and different things every week! This week the biggest differences have been using her hands, more alert and attentive to her environment, more noises and more moving! Each day is such a blessing.  I have to get back to my internship at CC so I can finish school and graduate in May.  It will definitely be hard to leave you all day until my days are completed and I graduate May 4th!!

I put you down one way and come back to find you out of your blanket & turned another direction.

You constantly wiggle out of your blankets... even when swaddled tight!

We have tried several headrests for your car seat- many too small, some too big.
You just grew overnight!

(sorry for the blurry picture!)  This is just to show you using your hand.
You have punched yourself in the face twice & poked yourself in the eye, sweetness!
We are getting the hang of these things though! :)

Pictures of Miss O

We are fortunate enough to have a photographer (& his lovely and equally talented wife Hilary) in our family.  When Miss O was 1 week old, they came over and took a few pictures of her.  It is ridiculous how fast she grew since we brought her home.  I'm glad we could capture her in such sweet photos at one week old.

Splish, Splash!

We have been getting in a routine with our sweet girl and that includes bathtime fun... although she does not think it is so much fun right now.  We have been trying to find the best way to bath her & find a way that she enjoys the most (we hate to hear her cry during bath time).  Here are some shots from her bath time fun!!
