This little girl is ridiculous.... and by that I mean she will stop at nothing to get up on her feet.  Everyday she crawls, she tries to get on her feet while she is crawling.  She even got her first accident report at daycare.  She was trying to stand while she was crawling.  She fell and hit her cheek on the side of a bouncy chair.  She is constantly moving, crawling, jumping (in her exercauser) and rolling.  We recorded her standing in her crib for you to see.  She was crying because she was in her crib and she wanted to be picked up.  Promise.. we didn't do anything to her to make her cry.  She is pretty dramatic.  It isn't the best quality but it was recorded as proof.  Six and a half months and she is pulling herself up- how did this happen?! Our little baby is growing so fast... she is learning so much.  It is just amazing to watch.  xo

Just wanted to share some photos from the past few days we have taken.  Of course, there is a constant flow of picture taking in her face everyday.  xo

Most of the pictures I snap of Miss O are happy, with the occasional lazy eye.  However, this picture was taken during dinner time.  Please note- we had to feed her in her bouncy chair because her high chair cover was being washed from extreme messiness that was dinner the previous night.  Anyway... this picture is hilarious to me.  This is just so completely random that I was tickled by it.  I feel like there could be a number of captions to go along with this photo... so it is up to your interpretation.  I can see something like "I asked for bananas, not avocado!" or something like that... but it will probably speak something different to you. I just can't resist sharing it. xo

weekend fun!

Miss O is getting around anyway she can.  It is hard to believe that just six short months ago she would do her tummy time and really not move at all.  Now she is all over the place... she hates to sit still- even in a shopping cart or her car seat.  She growing up so fast! xo

a little update

Things have been really busy with us. Lately I have not charged the camera or video camera so our only source for photos is the phone. Thank goodness we have that.  These are pictures I have snapped over the last week on my phone. We took Miss O for her doctor's appointment [6 month shots] on Monday.  She is a big 16lbs 9oz!  She has officially doubled her birth weight.  We have given her peas, apples and sweet potatoes... she liked the peas and apples.  We have some baby food still to try- obviously.  In the cabinet we have winter squash, carrots, peas, apples, bananas & pears.  So we will be seeing lots of colors coming out, if you catch my drift! xo 

She sleeps like she wants... and we just never know what we will find. I had to laugh and grab my camera when I walked in and saw her like this.

Happy 1/2 Birthday

So I am a little late in posting her 6 month pictures (it was 8/2/12) but things have been a little busy here. We have been so blessed for the last 6 months to have Miss O in our lives.  These last 6 months have flown by and we have loved and appreciated EVERY moment.  It is hard to believe she just got here because it feels like she has been here forever. 

My sweet girl at 6 months old

• The food you have had is formula, rice cereal, sweet potatoes & apples
• You can be in the sitting position by yourself for a little while before leaning to the side
• You can say Ma-ma & Ba-ba
• You can get on your hands and knees (no crawling, just chillin')
• You can giggle and smile a lot... but not at the hysterical laughing stage
• You do NOT like to be held like a "baby"... especially when you are eating.
• You are starting to like holding your bottle by yourself
• You love being involved when there are people around... like when we are eating around a table.. you don't want to be far away, you want to be right at the table with everyone. :)
• You have been sleeping on your stomach with your bottom in the air
• You have been to the beach 2 times so far and LOVED playing in the water and eating some sand
• You rolled your eyes at one of my friends (not sure where you learned that) but it was rather funny
• You have 2 teeth.. both your bottom teeth have broken through the skin but not quite popped up yet.
• You are quite the traveler, having visited Holden Beach, NC, Greensboro, NC, West Jefferson & Boone, NC, Burke, VA, Panama City Beach, FL & Charleston, SC since you've been here. 
• You are not a fan of your carseat... being strapped in is the problem.  I don't blame you... I don't like to be held down or unable to move around like I want to either!
• You love to talk in the morning and right before bed.
• You like chewing on people's cell phones... probably because they are always in your face snapping pictures of you
• You love your lovies... especially your bunny.
• As of now (although people like to crush my happiness about this) you don't pull your bows or headbands off your head.
• You love wearing your sunglasses.. you have never tried to pull them off because you didn't like them on your face.
• Going outside, for any reason, always calms you down.  There is a lot to look at when we go outside... and you look at everything.
• You are drawn to music.  When there is a song that comes on the tv or on your game, you stop what you are doing to listen/stare at what the music is coming from.
• You experienced your first Olympics & watched the swimming portion with me... maybe you will be a swimmer like your mama! :)
• You love to be on your feet... trying to walk all the time. 
• You are still in size 2 diapers and wearing 6 month clothes.. some 3 month clothes.
• You sleep through the night (and you have since 3 months old)... 8pm-ish to 7am!

This is all I can think of... We have just experienced so much these last 6 months.  Everyday is a new adventure with you sweet girl! xo
