Two Weeks Down!

It has been almost 3 weeks with Olivia and we are falling more in love with her with each passing day.  The first two weeks were a huge blessing. There were many new memories made, many new adventures had and of course lots of firsts during the first two (almost 3 weeks) of her life! Oh what a blessing she is... even the days she sleeps very little! Yesterday was our 2-3 week old check up at the doctor's office.  Miss O weighs an even 9 lbs now & measures 21 inches.  She is starting to get some rolls on her legs and arms.  The lactation nurse from the hospital agreed that O does not have any problems eating... I've said since our first feeding that she is a CHAMP! You can believe me.. I'm the one feeding her! :)  It's so fun to take a million pictures and just see the photo evidence of her physically changing.  It's hard to notice all the changes when we see her every day but the pictures don't lie... and neither does the scale at the doctors office! She is getting bigger before our eyes!

We had a visit from Papa (Jason's dad)

Please- hold all pictures! :)

Had a visit from my mom, abuela or Lela

Happy One Week Darling!

Hard to believe that we have had this girl for one week.  We love everything about her.  Here are some fun things that happened the first 7 days you've been alive Olivia:

- Spent time in 3 different doctors offices (two for you, once for mommy)
- Was touched on the face by a complete stranger (which just FLOORED your mommy!)
- Your belly button cord came off.. with some help from daddy who accidentally yanked it a little while changing you
- Used a complete container of wipes & filled up an entire bag from the diaper pale we have for dirty diapers (PHEW!)
- You lift your head like crazy- especially when you are resting on someones chest.
- You are currently on an eating schedule of feeds every 3 hours
- You pooped in daddy's hand & peed in your towel while daddy was holding you
- You had projectile poop while mommy was changing you- nothing major but it did fly!
- Sophie Jr (our cat) still hasn't warmed up to you
- Thanks to your great grandparents, you now have a savings account for your future!

Those are just some of the fun adventures we have had since you came into our lives! XOXO

Happy 1 Week Birthday Sweetness!!!

Amazing Things in Small Packages

Captivated by her face

Six days ago changed our lives! The Mr and I welcomed our amazingly perfect daughter into the world.  Olivia Kay Hite was born Thursday, February 2, 2012 @ 1:48pm.  It is amazing how one day can change your whole world. For the last six days we have just been basking in this miracle from God.  Throughout my pregnancy and labor, all I could focus on was the pain, discomfort, wanting my body back, etc... but after Miss O was born it all seems minuscule.  I'd do it again... maybe not too soon... but it's definitely worth doing this all more than once! Here are some pictures from the best 6 days of my life (so far!)
Sweetest moments while she sleeps

Prepping for our c-section.  After almost 7 hours of laboring, there was no progression. Don't let my smile fool you! I was in extreme pain & squeezing Jason's hand to get through this photo.

First picture with the girl who has captured our hearts!

Our new favorite activity: staring and gazing at this precious girl

a gift from Jason. Amethyst earrings- Olivia's birthstone

Heading home from the hospital!

First night at home in her crib = scariest night for new mommy and daddy. We survived on maybe 4 hours of sleep.

First doctor's appointment, 5 days old.

Undressing for the doctor

Olivia had to get an ultrasound & xray for a very small mass on her back.

Daddy watching over her. She did so good for her appointments- it just took entirely way too long!
